Divisions
Entries are separated into 12 and Under and 13 and Over divisions and compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements. Categories may be split or combined by age groups to ensure fair and reasonable competition.
Judging
Shine Dance Challenge adjudicators are highly qualified dance professionals with a wealth of experience & knowledge in a wide range of dance forms. We use 3 adjudicators and an average of all 3 scores to determine placement.
A fast, high quality learning tool, DVD adjudication by Video Judge, allows dancers to see what adjudicators’ comments refer to while providing a video collection for your studio archives.
Awards
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded in each category.
Final High Score Awards include 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place trophies and cash scholarships for each solo, duo/trio, and group in the 12 and Under division and 13 and Over division.
Other final awards include dance training scholarships, trophies, large cash prizes, consultations with reputable talent agencies, professional dance career packages, and more!
Scholarship Class
Our adjudicators will select dancers throughout the duration of the competition to participate in a scholarship class. The class will take place on the final day of the competition and will be facilitated by the adjudicators who will work with the dancers to determine final scholarships and awards.
